The car chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear upper strut brace increases body rigidity in the area where the rear suspension is mounted.
- Design: rear upper strut brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Toyota GR Yaris I (XP210).
