ACL Race main bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering supports consistent clearances in high-performance engine applications.

The set contains ACL Race Series main bearings. Different bearing thicknesses are available according to the required clearance.

• Trimetal construction with a high-strength overlay plate of reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing.
• Elimination of flash plating on the back improves heat transfer and maximizes grip between the bearings and their housing.
• Increased eccentricity compensates for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
• 3/4 grooves optimize the main bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings.
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances help maintain consistent clearances.

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
