ACL Race main bearings for Honda D16A / D17A / D16Z …

ACL Race main bearings are designed for higher RPM conditions and demanding engine operation. The trimetal construction combines design, metallurgy and engineering for consistent operating clearances.

The main bearings feature 3/4 grooves to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings, together with design features for improved retention and heat transfer.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing.
• Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing.
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
• 3/4 grooves to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow.
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances.

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
