ACL Race main bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for high-RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering improves fatigue resistance and bearing retention in the housing.
Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films. The set includes main bearings.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Flash plating eliminated from the back for improved heat transfer and grip between the bearing and housing
- 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
- Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges for large fillet radii on performance crankshafts

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
