ACL Race Series main bearings are trimetal engine bearings for high-performance applications, designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their combination of construction, metallurgy and engineering improves bearing retention and support for the bearing lining.
The set includes main bearings designed for stable oil film formation, efficient oil flow and consistent clearances.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing.
- Flash plating eliminated from the back to improve heat transfer and maximize grip in the housing.
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films at high RPM.
- 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings.
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances.

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
