ACL Race Series main bearings use a trimetal construction for high-performance engines and are designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering supports reliable operation under demanding loads.
The set includes main bearings with features that support bearing retention, heat transfer and the formation of a hydrodynamic oil film.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
- 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
