ACL Race main bearings are multilayer trimetal engine bearings designed for higher RPM conditions and demanding engine use. The construction combines a high-strength overlay plate with tight, consistent wall tolerances for consistent clearances.
Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming a hydrodynamic oil film. The set includes main bearings with 0.025 mm extra clearance.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Flash plating eliminated on the back for improved heat transfer and grip
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
- 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize load-carrying surface area and oil flow

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
