ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings developed for higher-RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering improves support for the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing.
Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists with the formation of a hydrodynamic oil film. The set includes ACL Race Series rod bearings.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip between the bearing and housing
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
