ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering is developed for the demands of high-performance engines.
The set includes ACL Race Series rod bearings with features that improve heat transfer, bearing retention in the housing and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing.
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention.
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip between the bearings and housing.
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances.

Engines: N55, N54, S55 (N55B30A, N54B30A, S55B30A, S55B30). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
