ACL Race rod bearings for BMW S65

ACL Race rod bearings for BMW S65 are trimetal engine bearings designed for demanding operating conditions and higher RPM. The set is intended to upgrade the rod bearing support.

The construction combines a high-strength overlay plate, hardened steel backs and tailored geometry to improve bearing retention and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention
• No flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances

Suitable for: BMW M3 IV (E92).

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
