ACL Race Series rod bearings are trimetal bearings developed for demanding operating conditions and higher engine RPM. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering supports high-performance engine applications.
The set includes ACL Race Series rod bearings with features designed to improve retention in the housing, heat transfer and the formation of a stable hydrodynamic oil film.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing.
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention.
- Eliminated flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip between the bearing and its housing.
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
