ACL Race tri-metal rod bearings combine design, metallurgy and engineering for high-performance engines operating at higher RPM conditions.
The set features a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness, along with hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
