ACL Race Series rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for higher RPM conditions. Their combination of construction, metallurgy and engineering supports consistent performance under high loads.
The set contains ACL Race Series rod bearings with features intended to improve retention in the housing, heat transfer and formation of hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
- Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges for large fillet radii on performance crankshafts
Suitable for: Porsche 911 993.
Engines: M64 (M64.21, M64.22, M64.23, M64.24, M64.05, M64.06, M64.07, M64.08, M64.60, M64.60R, M64.60RS, M64.21S, M64.05S, M64.06S, M64.20). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
