ACL Race Series trimetal rod bearings are designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their construction combines a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness to improve fatigue properties.
Hardened steel backs improve support for the bearing lining and assist with bearing retention in the housing. Increased crush improves retention, while increased eccentricity compensates for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- Trimetal construction with a high-strength, reduced-thickness overlay plate
- Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances for consistent clearances
Suitable for: Porsche 911 991 / 992.
Engines: MA1.77, MA1.76, MA2.75 (MA1.76, MA1.77, MA2.75). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
