ACL Race Series are tri-metal rod bearings designed for engines operating at higher RPM. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering is intended for high-performance applications.
The rod bearings use construction features that improve bearing lining support, retention in the housing and formation of a stable hydrodynamic oil film at high RPM.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip between the bearings and housing
Suitable for: Vauxhall Monaro I (V2X), Vauxhall VXR8 I (VXR8).

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
