The CTS Turbo 3″ turbo-back exhaust system for the VW Golf VI GTI is hand TIG-welded from high-quality T304 stainless steel. The system is designed for everyday road use and vehicles with a larger turbocharger. The larger 3″ diameter enables more efficient removal of exhaust gases from the turbocharger and wastegate with less turbulence, helping to improve turbocharger response and increase power and torque throughout the rev range.
The downpipe is fully TIG-welded and made from 3″ seamless T304 stainless steel. The kit includes stainless steel clamps, and the system replaces the factory downpipe. Compared with exhaust systems using 2.5″ or 2.75″ diameter pipes, the 3″ version places fewer restrictions on exhaust gas flow at high power levels.
