The CTS Turbo 3-inch turbo-back exhaust system for the VW Golf V GTI 2.0T is hand TIG-welded from high-quality T304 stainless steel. The system is designed for road use and vehicles with larger turbochargers. Compared with typical 2.5- and 2.75-inch systems, the larger 3-inch diameter allows more efficient exhaust gas flow.
The downpipe is fully TIG-welded and made from 3-inch seamless T304 stainless steel. Stainless steel clamps are included. Removing the factory downpipe improves turbocharger response, while the larger diameter allows exhaust gases to leave the turbocharger and wastegate with less turbulence. The result is more efficient flow and increased torque and power throughout the rev range.
