CTS Turbo oil catch can for VW Golf/GTI/Alltrack/Sportwagen and Jetta GLI MK7

The oil catch can prevents oil vapour from entering the intake manifold and reduces the build-up of deposits on the intake valves of direct-injection engines. Deposits on the intake manifold and valves reduce engine performance and worsen fuel consumption. The system helps keep the intake valves clean and ensures smooth engine operation.

The system was extensively tested on a 600-hp VW Golf R.

The kit includes:

• CTS Turbo aluminium crankcase breather valve for the rocker cover, CNC-machined from a single piece of aircraft-grade T6061 aluminium;
• CTS Turbo aluminium oil catch can with dipstick for checking the oil level;
• Black-Series -10 AN braided hoses;
• mounting bracket for the oil catch can;
• stainless steel mounting hardware;
• Hose-Wrangler clamp;
• all required mounting hardware for installation.

The original PCV system seal must be used during installation.

Important notes

Check the engine mount bolt – it must have a threaded stud for mounting the oil catch can. If a flat bolt is fitted, the double-ended threaded stud N91029602 must be used. Replacing seal 06K103484F is also recommended during installation.

The kit is intended for VW GTI vehicles from the MK7 and MK7.5 generations, VW Golf/Alltrack/Sportwagen models with the 1.8 TSI engine, and the VW Jetta GLI with the 2.0T engine.

Warning: During the winter months, the fluid in the oil catch can may freeze and cause engine damage. The fluid level must be checked particularly carefully; at temperatures below freezing, the oil catch can may be removed for this period.
