Racingline Performance Oil Management System – MQB EVO EA888 Gen.4
The Racingline Performance Oil Management System is designed for the latest Volkswagen Group EA888 Gen.4 2.0 TSI engines on the MQB EVO platform. The oil catch can system intercepts oil mist and water vapour from the crankcase ventilation system (PCV), helping to keep the intake system cleaner.
How the oil catch can works
Modern turbocharged engines naturally produce oil mist and water vapour through the crankcase ventilation system (PCV). Without an oil catch can, these vapours return to the intake system, where they can gradually coat the intercooler, intake manifold and intake valves with sticky soot deposits.
The Racingline Oil Management System intercepts these vapours before they return to the intake system and collects the oil in a dedicated can. Cleaner air can continue to flow through the intake system, helping to reduce long-term deposit build-up on the valves and in the intake manifold.
Filtration and internal design
At the heart of the system is an oil catch can with a 3-way baffle and foam separator. The multi-stage design effectively separates oil mist and condensate, even during more demanding driving, while maintaining low airflow resistance. The larger internal volume allows longer service intervals between emptying.
Construction
The oil catch can body is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminium and protected with a durable gloss black anodised finish. The oil hoses have stainless steel internal reinforcement and a protective outer nylon sleeve, providing durability and heat resistance. Hand-polished swivel fittings allow neat hose routing and a clean appearance in the engine bay.
- Integrated dipstick for a quick visual check of the collected oil quantity
- Drain plug at the bottom for easy and clean servicing
- Replacement PCV plate included for complete direct installation
Installation and compatibility
The oil catch can is mounted next to the engine mount using a factory chassis bolt, giving the engine bay a tidy appearance similar to the original installation. The kit includes the required mounting hardware, hoses and replacement PCV plate.
The system is intended for the EA888 Gen.4 2.0 TSI engine in current VW, Audi, CUPRA, SEAT and Škoda models on the MQB EVO platform.
