The oil catch can prevents oil vapour from entering the intake manifold and deposits from building up on the intake valves in direct-injection engines. Oil deposits on the intake manifold and valves reduce performance and can increase fuel consumption. The system helps keep the engine cleaner and its operation smoother.
The kit is intended for vehicles with the original black engine cover. The factory PCV gasket must be used during installation.
The kit includes:
- CTS Turbo billet aluminium breather valve cover, CNC-machined from a single piece of T6061 aircraft-grade aluminium;
- CTS neck for relocating the washer fluid reservoir;
- CTS Turbo billet aluminium oil catch can with oil level dipstick;
- black -10 AN Black-Series braided hoses;
- oil catch can bracket;
- stainless steel mounting hardware;
- Hose-Wrangler clamp;
- complete mounting hardware for installation.
Installation note: Check the engine mount bolt. It must have a stud for mounting the oil catch can. If a flat bolt is installed, the N91029602 double-ended stud must be purchased separately. Replacing the 06K103484F gasket during installation is also recommended.
Warning: During the winter months, the liquid in the oil catch can may freeze and cause engine damage. Check the fluid level regularly or remove the oil catch can when temperatures are below freezing.
