Forge Motorsport actuator for Volvo V40/S40 T5

The Forge Motorsport actuator is designed to replace the original actuator on the TD04 turbocharger in the Volvo V40. The original part numbers are 49377-06351 and Volvo 8627991.

It enables more precise adjustment and control of the required boost pressure, which can improve turbocharger response and boost pressure control. A spring suitable for the factory boost pressure or slightly higher values is fitted as standard. A stronger spring is also available for vehicles with more extensive modifications.

Diaphragm-sealed internals are the standard configuration for this actuator. Piston-sealed internals are also available, providing equivalent performance and less maintenance thanks to the durable piston design.

The actuator is fitted as standard with a green-coded spring. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, the Diaphragm Type 2, 049 version must be selected.

All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.

The stated spring pressures represent the minimum regulated pressures. On older turbocharged engines without regulation via the ECU or a solenoid valve, the colour codes refer to the mechanical part of the operation. On modern engines with regulation via the ECU or a solenoid valve, the mechanical spring specification does not necessarily correspond to the target boost pressure. The correct spring should be selected by a qualified tuner according to the vehicle and the planned level of modification.
