Adjustable turbocharger actuator for the Subaru IHI VF24 turbo. It enables more precise adjustment and control of boost pressure, as well as improved turbocharger response.
Forge Motorsport has developed a wide range of replacement aluminium actuators with a two-piece housing. This actuator is made from 6026-grade aluminium, while the actuator rod is made from 303-grade stainless steel.

The actuator is supplied with a standard spring suitable for factory or slightly higher boost pressure. A stronger spring can be used for modified vehicles. When choosing a spring, the operation of the engine ECU and solenoid valve must be taken into account, as the specified mechanical spring pressure does not necessarily represent the same target boost pressure in modern systems.
The diaphragm version is the standard choice. A version with piston sealing is also available, providing comparable performance and requiring less maintenance thanks to its robust piston design.
The actuator is intended to increase or more precisely regulate the boost pressure of the turbocharger system, but its setting must always be compatible with the capabilities of the engine, engine management system and other related components.

The actuator is supplied with a standard spring. The FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit is not included; using it requires selecting the Diaphragm Type 2, 049 version.
