Adjustable turbocharger actuator for transverse VAG K04 1.8T engines in Seat and Audi vehicles.
Forge Motorsport has developed a replacement for the original turbocharger actuator, made from a two-piece aluminium housing. The actuator enables more precise adjustment and control of boost pressure, which can improve response and control of turbocharger operation.

The actuator is supplied as standard with a spring marked green. To use the FMPACTUN spring kit, the Diaphragm Type 2, 049 version must be selected.
The standard version has a sealed diaphragm interior, while a piston interior is also available. The piston version provides comparable performance and requires less maintenance thanks to the wear-resistant piston seal design.
The actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.
The actuator is assembled with a pre-selected spring suitable for factory or slightly higher boost pressure. For vehicles with upgrades, a stronger spring can be used when higher boost pressure is required. Spring suitability must be selected according to the specific vehicle, engine management system and planned level of modification.
The stated spring pressures refer to the mechanical aspect of operation and are directly comparable mainly on older turbocharged engines without regulation via the ECU or solenoid. On modern engines with regulation via the ECU or solenoid, the mechanical spring pressure is not necessarily the same as the target boost pressure. Consultation with a qualified tuner is recommended for correct spring selection for a specific setup.
For the T2 spring range, the designation is FMAS049.
