This actuator is designed for the turbocharger fitted to Vauxhall Calibra and Cavalier Turbo vehicles. It is made from billet aluminium, while the two-piece Forge Motorsport design allows servicing and maintenance. The rod length can be adjusted to suit the specific application. Laser-cut stainless steel brackets provide an installation comparable to the original.
The actuator allows more precise adjustment and control of boost pressure, which can improve turbocharger response and boost pressure control. A spring suitable for factory boost pressure or slightly higher values is fitted as standard. A stronger spring can be used on modified vehicles when higher boost pressure is required.

Diaphragm sealing of the internal parts is the standard configuration for this actuator, while piston sealing is also available. The piston configuration provides comparable performance to the diaphragm version and requires less maintenance due to its wear-resistant internal parts.
The actuator is supplied with the basic spring as standard. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, Type 2, 049 diaphragm configuration must be selected.
The stated spring pressure values according to the colour codes refer only to the mechanical part of the system and are primarily useful for older turbocharged engines where boost pressure is not controlled by the ECU or solenoid valve. On modern engines with ECU or solenoid valve control, the target boost pressure does not necessarily correspond one-to-one with the mechanical specification of the springs offered. When selecting a spring, consider the specific vehicle model and the planned level of modification.
The actuator is intended to increase the output boost pressure of the turbocharger system, but the final result depends on the settings and limitations of the engine management system. Before installation, check that the engine, control system and associated components can withstand the loads at the selected boost pressure.
For the T2 spring range (FMAS049), the appropriate configuration must be selected according to the vehicle and planned setting.
