Forge Motorsport adjustable turbocharger wastegate actuator for the Saab 9000.

The actuator is manufactured as a two-piece replacement from machined aluminium and enables precise adjustment of turbocharger operation. The choice of spring depends on the vehicle, turbocharger and desired boost pressure setting.

Important:

The spring pressure values represent the minimum regulated pressure. The actuator is supplied as standard with a spring for the factory boost pressure level or slightly above it. For vehicles with additional modifications, a stronger spring can be used when higher boost pressure is required.

Installing the Forge actuator enables more precise adjustment and control of boost pressure, which can improve turbocharger response and operation control. The product is intended to increase the boost pressure output of the turbocharger system, but the setting must be matched to the limitations of the factory or aftermarket engine management system.

The standard version uses a sealed diaphragm, while a piston-sealed version is also available. The piston version provides comparable operation and requires less maintenance thanks to the more durable piston mechanism design.

The actuator is supplied as standard with a standard spring. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, the Diaphragm Type 2, 049 version must be selected.

All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.

The specified spring pressures according to the colour markings refer only to the mechanical part of the system. This applies primarily to older turbocharged engines, where boost pressure is not regulated by the ECU and solenoid valves.

On modern engines with regulation via the ECU or a solenoid valve, the target boost pressure does not need to correspond directly to the mechanical value of the spring used. The correct spring choice must be determined according to the specific model and planned level of modification.
