Forge Motorsport oil catch can for VW Golf 5 GTI

The oil catch can kit is the result of several months of development and testing. The system is designed to capture as much harmful contamination as possible, including oil deposits, unburnt fuel vapours and moisture that would otherwise return to the engine’s intake system.

Testing has shown that the kit effectively reduces the formation of sludge and carbon deposits. This helps the TSI engine in the Golf Mk5 breathe more easily and operate more efficiently. It is a product designed to improve engine performance, particularly on vehicles with further performance modifications planned.

The 0.4 l (400 cm³) tank has a dipstick for easy level monitoring and is designed for simple emptying.

The inner hose is made from antistatic, smooth, fuel-resistant nitrile rubber. The outer protection is made from reinforced stainless-steel braid – partial inner and complete outer braiding. This design prevents stretching due to pressure and collapse due to vacuum, and enables operation in a temperature range from 54 °C to +150 °C (from –65 °F to 300 °F).

The kit also includes two oil-resistant hoses with stainless-steel reinforcement and black outer braiding. Combined with the supplied connectors, the finished appearance resembles the original installation.

Important: The bonnet will not fit with the kit installed without modification.

*The level on the dipstick is set below 0.4 l for optimum crankcase ventilation.
