Forge Motorsport was among the first manufacturers in the world to design and produce a two-piece replacement aluminium turbocharger actuator. The company originally developed actuators for Cosworth, Renault 5 GT Turbo and Lancia Integrale turbochargers, and later developed a wide range of replacement actuators.

Important:

The actuator is supplied as standard with a spring for standard boost pressure. For modified engines and higher boost pressure, a stronger spring can be fitted on request. The diaphragm version is the standard choice, while a version with piston sealing is also available. The piston version provides equivalent performance and requires less maintenance due to the durability of its internal piston components.

Installing a Forge actuator allows more precise adjustment and control of the required boost pressure, which can improve response and control. The product is designed to increase the turbocharger system’s output boost pressure, but the adjustment must be matched to the capability of the engine management system. This may be standard or upgraded, but it must support the required level of adjustment.

The actuators are equipped with 303-grade stainless steel push rods.

The stated spring pressures according to the colour codes refer only to the mechanical aspect and apply primarily to older turbocharged engines that are not controlled by an ECU or solenoid. In modern engines with ECU or solenoid control of target boost pressure, the target boost pressure does not need to be equated with the mechanical spring specification. When selecting a spring for a specific model and planned tuning stage, the recommendations of a qualified tuner must be taken into account.

For the T2 spring range (FMAS049), when using the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, Type 2, 049 diaphragm version must be selected.
