Forge Motorsport turbocharger actuator for Volvo T5

Forge Motorsport FMACT5 is a turbocharger actuator for various versions of the Volvo T5 engine in the 850, S60, S70, V70 and C70 models. Two versions are available: FMACT5S with a straight linkage rod and FMACT5B with an offset or bent rod.

FMACT5S – straight rod

The FMACT5S version is intended for vehicles with a Bosch Motronic 4.3/4.4 ECU and a mechanical throttle cable. The original actuator rod is straight, and this version is suitable for the Mitsubishi TD04HL turbocharger with a straight flange.

FMACT5B – bent rod

The FMACT5B version is intended for vehicles with a Bosch Motronic 7 or Motronic 7S ECU and electronic throttle (drive by wire/ETM). The original rod is stepped, and the actuator is suitable for the Mitsubishi TD04HL turbocharger with an angled flange.

The Forge Motorsport FMACS60R is intended for later models with a K24 Turbo gearbox from 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

When ordering, the correct rod version – straight or bent – and spring colour must be selected. The actuator is supplied as standard with a spring for factory or slightly higher than factory boost pressure levels. A stronger spring is also available for vehicles with upgrades.

The actuator enables more precise adjustment and control of boost pressure and can improve turbocharger response and control. On modern engines with control via the ECU or a solenoid valve, the stated mechanical spring value does not represent a direct target boost pressure value. If you are unsure which spring is correct for your model and planned level of modification, consult a qualified tuner.

The kit includes the FMACT5 actuator and a Forge sticker. To use the FMPACTUN spring kit, the type 2, 049 diaphragm version must be selected.
