FUEL DELIVERY
WITHOUT COMPROMISE
The GFB FX-S 8051 takes over where the factory regulator reaches its limits.
FEATURES:
- Direct replacement for Bosch regulators that clip into the fuel rail
- 1/8″ NPT port for a gauge or electronic pressure sensor
- More than twice the flow rate of the factory regulator, allowing the use of a higher-capacity pump without replacing the original fuel rail
- Compatible with petrol, ethanol and methanol
- Two-layer, additionally reinforced diaphragm with a tensile strength exceeding 500 psi
- PTFE copolymer seat with a stainless steel valve for longer fuel pressure retention after engine shutdown
- The spring preload adjustment is sealed with an O-ring and does not cause vacuum or boost pressure leaks
- Static pressure is adjustable from 1.4 to 5 bar (20–72 psi; depending on pump flow rate and factory return-line restrictions)
- The regulator is fully serviceable
The compact GFB FX-S fuel pressure regulator is also available as a direct-fit replacement for standard Bosch regulators that clip into the fuel rail.
When increasing engine performance, the fuel system must also provide sufficient flow. Upgrading the pump is the first step, but the pump alone can cause excessive fuel pressure, especially at idle. Factory Bosch regulators often do not have sufficient flow capacity for higher-capacity pumps, particularly on turbocharged applications running E85 fuel, which require greater fuel flow.
Instead of replacing the entire fuel rail or using an adapter with a separate regulator, the FX-S 8051 can simply be clipped into the original fuel rail. This allows the use of a significantly higher-capacity pump with the original fuel line. Unlike Bosch regulators with fixed pressure, the pressure on the FX-S is adjustable from 1.4 to 5 bar.
The FX-S 8051 is compatible with petrol, ethanol and methanol. The PTFE valve seat provides reliable sealing and fuel pressure retention after engine shutdown, helping to ensure reliable restarts.
The two-layer diaphragm has twice as much reinforcing material as a standard single-layer design, giving it a tensile strength exceeding 500 psi.
The 1/8″ NPT port can be used for a fuel pressure gauge or electronic pressure sensor. If it is not required, it can be sealed with the supplied plug.
The 8051 regulator is taller than the original Bosch regulator, so some applications may have minor clearance issues. Check the dimensions and clearances around the fuel rail before installation.
