No more boost pressure and power loss caused by a faulty PCV valve. The PCV Fix is the right solution.
- no boost pressure losses
- no power loss
- no turbocharger overspeeding
- manufactured from corrosion-resistant aluminium
- compatible with the original intake system, engine cover and all intake systems
- includes an adapter for tapping boost or vacuum pressure, for example for a boost gauge or exhaust valve control
- includes a report, therefore no registration is required
Drawback of the standard component:
- frequent boost pressure losses, resulting in power loss
Consequence: the turbocharger may overspeed as it attempts to reach the set boost pressure.
Technical details:
- CNC-machined PCV Fix
- black anodised
- includes a report, therefore no registration is required
- installation takes just a few minutes
- complete kit with a blanking plug for the intake manifold
Contents:
- PCV Fix with all small parts
- adapter for tapping boost pressure
- report
The crankcase ventilation system is designed to burn the engine’s oil vapours. These vapours collect in the rocker cover and are then routed to the turbocharger intake side and the intake manifold.
If the valve is faulty, the situation is similar to a leak in the charge-air system: boost pressure escapes from the intake manifold. This is where the PCV Fix comes in. It consists of a blanking cover for the intake manifold and a blanking plate for the original PCV valve connection. This permanently prevents boost pressure loss and the resulting power loss.
The kit also includes an adapter for tapping boost or vacuum pressure. It is suitable, for example, for a boost gauge or for connecting exhaust valve control.
The PCV Fix is compatible with the original intake system and engine cover, as well as all intake systems available on the market. It is manufactured from corrosion-resistant aluminium, then black anodised and supplied complete with O-rings and screws.
The HF-Series PCV Fix includes a report, therefore no registration is required.
Explanation
- The crankcase ventilation (1) is routed to the rocker cover (2), where the standard valve (3) is installed. The PCV valve (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) has a connection (4) to the intake manifold (5).
- This valve opens under vacuum.
- Under positive pressure it closes so that boost pressure cannot escape from the intake manifold.
- This is exactly where the problem lies. The membrane in the original component is prone to tearing. Boost pressure then escapes from the intake manifold, resulting in power loss.
- To prevent this, the PCV Fix kit blanks the connections on the rocker cover (1) and intake manifold (2). The crankcase ventilation gases continue to be fed into the system via the intake.
