Front wheel hop under hard launches on the i30 N is caused by the soft rubber in the lower engine torque mount (“dogbone”). Powerflex PFF26-120 is a polyurethane insert that replaces this rubber: the factory mount stays, only a stiffer bush goes into it. The engine rocks less under torque, the wheels keep their grip, and shocks no longer hammer the driveshafts and gearbox – for much less money than the complete aluminium mount.
Why the black Black Series (95A)
- The stiffest Powerflex version – the engine barely moves under torque, for racing use and drag starts
- Noticeably more vibration and noise in the cabin – not for everyday driving; for that we recommend the yellow 70A
- Maximum shift precision and throttle response
- Fits in the factory mount, no need to replace the whole part

Insert or complete mount?
The PFF26-120 insert is the cheapest way to a steady engine and removes most of the wheel hop. If you want even less engine movement (launch control, track), choose the complete Powerflex PFF26-122 aluminium mount. For the complete solution, add to the insert the small bush PFF26-121 on the other side of the mount.
