What these springs provide

These are progressive springs whose rate changes according to how much they are compressed. During normal driving, the spring rate is similar to standard, so the ride remains composed and comfortable. During more dynamic driving, heavy braking or greater cornering loads, the springs become firmer towards the end of their travel, giving better control of body movement and helping the vehicle maintain contact with the road.
