Racingline lowering springs for the VW Golf VIII R lower the vehicle’s centre of gravity, reduce the gap between the tyres and wheel arches, and improve the driving feel.

The factory springs on the Golf VIII R represent a compromise between comfort and handling. Replacing them with Racingline springs reduces body roll and provides a more purposeful appearance and more direct vehicle response.

Balanced performance and everyday comfort

The springs have a progressive spring rate, meaning that their stiffness increases as they are compressed further. The spring rate through the middle of the travel is similar to the standard setup, so the springs retain comfort during normal driving. During faster cornering and braking, however, they provide a firmer response and improved control.

The result is a more stable Golf R with less body roll, a more direct steering response and a more distinctive appearance. The vehicle is lowered by approximately 20 mm at the front and rear.

Developed for use with standard dampers

The springs are developed to work in harmony with the standard dampers, including DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) adaptive dampers with adjustable operation. As they are a direct replacement, no further suspension modifications are required.

The springs are developed specifically for the VW Golf VIII R (Hatch) with the 2.0 TSI R 4motion engine.

Important: After installation, the suspension geometry must be set up by a qualified workshop. Lowering the vehicle changes the suspension geometry, so correctly setting all four wheels is essential for proper handling and even tyre wear.
