Racingline lowering springs are designed for estate versions and improve their handling, responsiveness and appearance. They are a cost-effective upgrade that improves driving characteristics without installing a complete coilover kit.

Factory springs are a compromise between comfort and everyday usability, so estates often retain a larger gap between the tyre and wheel arch, while the feel during dynamic driving can be somewhat soft. Racingline lowering springs lower the centre of gravity, limit body roll and give the vehicle a firmer, more purposeful appearance.

Spring operation

The springs are shorter and have a progressive spring rate. This means that their stiffness through the middle of the stroke is similar to the standard setup, keeping everyday driving balanced, while under heavy braking, rapid changes of direction and dynamic driving the springs become firmer. The vehicle is therefore more controlled without unnecessary stiffness during everyday driving.

Compatibility with original dampers

The spring rate is adapted to the original dampers, so replacing them is not necessary. The springs are also compatible with vehicles equipped with electronically adjustable VW DCC dampers (Adaptive Chassis Control), while the Comfort, Normal and Race modes remain available.

Compatibility

The kit is intended for estate versions of the VW Golf VII and VII.5 R, VW Golf VII and VII.5 GTD, VW Golf VIII R and Škoda Octavia vRS Mk3. For the Golf VIII, the vehicle table lists the 2.0 TSI R 4motion (DNFG) version, while for the Golf VII it lists the 2.0 R 4motion versions with engine codes CJXB, CJXC/DNUE, CJXD/DJHB/DNUC and CJXG/DJHA.
