The factory springs on the Polo GTI leave a noticeable gap between the wheel arch and wheel, giving the vehicle a somewhat softer and less composed feel in corners. Racingline lowering springs lower the vehicle by approximately 20 mm front and rear, reducing these gaps and giving the GTI a more purposeful appearance.

Improved handling without sacrificing comfort

Lowering the centre of gravity has a noticeable effect on the vehicle’s behaviour on the road. You can expect less body roll in corners, a more stable feel at higher speeds and a more direct steering response. Compared with the standard setup, this is a noticeable improvement that does not reduce everyday usability.

This is achieved through the progressive spring rate. In the middle of the spring travel, where most everyday driving takes place, the stiffness is very similar to standard, so driving on poorer roads and on longer journeys remains comfortable. During more demanding driving, heavy braking or quick changes of direction, the springs become firmer and maintain better vehicle control and stability.

Designed for use with standard dampers

The springs are carefully matched to the factory dampers fitted to the Polo GTI, so replacing other components is not necessary. Installation is therefore simpler and the cost of the upgrade is lower, while you gain improved handling and driving characteristics.
