12 mm steel snow chains for SUVs, vans and heavier vehicles with the Ö-Norm and TÜV Austria marks (as stated by the manufacturer). They give better grip, braking and handling on snow and ice, on tarmac and gravel. Fitted without moving the car and easy to take off.
- Ö-Norm and TÜV Austria: marks as stated by the manufacturer. Austria requires the ÖNORM standard where chains are mandatory.
- 12 mm hardened steel links: square links, asymmetric diamond pattern.
- Two-stage tensioning: first right after fitting, then again after a few metres of driving.
- Compatible with ABS and ESP.
- Included: 2 chains (a pair) in a sturdy plastic case.
Which vehicles. Thicker 12 mm links are the right choice for SUVs, vans, minibuses and motorhomes and for frequent driving on snowy mountain roads. The manufacturer also lists passenger cars, tractors and farm trailers. For a passenger car with little clearance next to the wheel choose the thinner 9 mm chains (Einparts KNS), and for lowered cars and large wheels snow socks.
Use. Fit the chains on the driven wheels and try them once at home before winter. Before use, read the fitting instructions and check that the chains suit your vehicle and tyres.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right chain size?
Enter your tyre size (e.g. 205/55 R16) in the finder above the buy button – it selects the size for you. The full list of tyre sizes is at the bottom of the description.
Which wheels do the chains go on?
On the driven wheels: the front for front-wheel drive, the rear for rear-wheel drive. For all-wheel drive follow the vehicle manufacturer instructions.
Are they valid in Austria?
Where chains are signposted as mandatory, Austria requires chains to the ÖNORM standard. The manufacturer states the Ö-Norm and TÜV Austria marks for these chains.
What if my tyre size is not listed?
Contact us via the contact form with your tyre size and car model. For lowered cars and large wheels snow socks are often the better fit.
How to read your tyre size
