Textile snow socks for passenger cars and SUVs, a light alternative to steel chains. They fit without tools, are quiet and gentle on wheels, so they also suit alloy wheels and cars that cannot take steel chains. They can be used on vehicles with ABS and ESP.

When to choose socks and when chains. Snow socks are the right choice for occasional driving in snow, for the city and as a backup in the boot. For frequent mountain driving, for signposted winter sections in Croatia, where type-approved devices are required, and for Austria, where textile devices are not allowed when chains are signposted as mandatory, choose Ö-Norm steel chains.

Important: According to the manufacturer they meet EN 16662-1. Check local rules before driving abroad (e.g. in Austria textile chains are not equivalent to snow chains).

Frequently asked questions
Do snow socks count as chains?
Besides chains, the rules allow approved traction devices; Croatia requires type-approved ones. The manufacturer states EN 16662-1 compliance for these socks, but we do not have a certificate. For signposted winter sections in Croatia and for Austria (where textile devices are not allowed when chains are mandatory) we recommend Ö-Norm steel chains.
How fast can I drive with snow socks?
The manufacturer states a maximum of 40 km/h. Take the socks off when you reach a clear road.
