The vehicle’s chassis is exposed to significant loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to body weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in chassis or body flexing and twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower brace helps increase chassis stiffness and supports more predictable vehicle behaviour.
