The vehicle’s chassis or bodywork is subjected to heavy loads caused by weight transfer when driving quickly through corners, braking hard and accelerating.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes chassis twisting and bodywork deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The brace is designed to reduce this deformation and increase bodywork rigidity.
