The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in considerable chassis flex, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex when driving through a corner can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
