The vehicle’s chassis or body is subjected to the greatest loads during fast driving. These loads are mainly caused by the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
During fast cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This leads to significant chassis twisting or body deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear chassis brace is designed to provide additional body reinforcement around the rear axle. The design has 8 mounting points.
