The two-point Ultra Racing C-pillar bar is a body brace designed to reduce body flex and deformation during dynamic driving.
The vehicle chassis or body is the part subjected to the greatest loads as a result of driving conditions. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other side. This results in significant deformation and flexing of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
