The centre lower chassis brace is designed to reinforce the body in an area with 6 mounting points. During fast driving, the chassis is subjected to heavy loads due to the transfer of body weight when cornering quickly, braking hard and accelerating.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in chassis bending and twisting, or body deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
