The vehicle chassis is subjected to high loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the force on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes significant chassis flex, or deformation and torsional twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting in corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This chassis brace is designed to reduce such loads on the body.
