The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in increased chassis twisting, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. This brace helps increase body stiffness and limit its twisting.
