A car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects and improve body rigidity.
