The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration due to the transfer of body weight.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the chassis to twist or the bodywork to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps increase chassis stiffness and improve vehicle responsiveness.
