During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads caused by the transfer of the vehicle body’s weight.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes chassis flex and body deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. Ultra Racing fender bars help further reinforce this part of the body.
