The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more heavily than the other. This can result in significant deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing fender brace helps further connect the loaded parts of the body and reduce its twisting.
