The car chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
In certain situations, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, deformation and body twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing fender brace is designed to reduce this deformation and increase body stiffness.
